Practical information

Visa: Sweden is a member of the EU and Schengen, so if you are a EU national, or a national of Iceland, Norway or Lichtenstein, you do not need to show national ID card or passport when you are travelling from one border-free Schengen EU country to another. But it is still always highly recommended to bring a valid passport or ID card with you, so you can prove your identity if needed.

If you are citizen of a non-EU country, you may need a visa. A visa is a permit to travel to and stay in a country for a limited period. To be granted a visa, you need an invitation from the company or person who is arranging the Conference. You must show that you have enough money for your keep and for your home trip. You also need health insurance that covers the costs if you become ill during your visit to Sweden. To learn more about if you need a visa and how to apply, please visit the Swedish Migration Agency.
